That infamous line was written to inspire fear. But there's a double meaning to it. In space, no one can hear you scream. No one can hear anything. A scientist would tell you it's the lack of transmission medium, usually air, that sound travels on. All I care about, is that it's a void of emptiness. No sound. No air.
